Following its open dialogue tradition between politicians and religious representatives, the EPP Group gathered in Esztergom (Hungary) from 9 to 11 November to debate the roles and activities of churches and religions in the Danube region.
This 14th Annual Inter-religious Dialogue with religious leaders also featured Hungarian Government representatives and high-level state officials from several countries.
As the goal of this conference was deepening mutual understanding and cooperation between politicians and religious leaders, topics included church identity, church and state relationships, the presence of religion in the media as well as the social market economy, the financial crisis and social teaching issues.
